Technical information about ClaranetOnline's accessibility
Claranet are committed to making ClaranetOnline accessible, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA.
Compliance status
This service is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA
- Images on some pages do not always have suitable alternative image descriptions. Users of assistive technologies may not have access to information conveyed in images. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
- Some interactive elements may not fully communicate their state to assistive technologies (WCAG 4.1.2).
- Some icon-only buttons provided by third-party libraries do not expose discernible text to assistive technologies (WCAG 2.2 AA, 4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value).
- Some text and interface elements in the dark mode colour scheme may not consistently meet minimum contrast ratio requirements (WCAG 2.2 AA, 1.4.3 – Contrast (Minimum)).
- Some tables do not consistently expose row or column headers to assistive technologies, which may affect how table content is interpreted by screen reader users (WCAG 2.2 AA, 1.3.1 – Info and Relationships).
We are working to resolve these issues.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We have an ongoing programme to improve accessibility across ClaranetOnline, including:
- Regular accessibility testing using automated and manual methods.
- Addressing issues identified by a range of accessibility measuring tools.
- Reviewing new features for accessibility before release.
